2005 Regional Champions


The 2005 Tates Creek Lady Commodores are the first Lexington team to reach the Final Four in the state tournament.

Booster Club Meeting Minutes

Coach Rebecca Rode called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m A quorum was present.
Coach Rode made introductions of past officers.

Nominations for Officers for 2005-2006
President- Cary Davis
Barbara Wheeler made a motion to accept Cary Davis as President. Alma Ruddell
2nded. Motion carried.

Vice President- Laurie Trout
Dave Marye made a motion to accept Laurie Trout as Vice- President. Jeanine Hench
2nded. Motion carried.

Secretary- Jeanine Hench
Cary Davis made a motion to accept Jeanine Hench as Secretary. Alma Ruddell 2nded.
Motion carried.

Treasurer- Barbara Wheeler
Jeanine Hench made a motion to accept Barbara Wheeler as Treasurer. Alma Ruddell
2nded. Motion Carried.

Coach Rebecca Rode discussed transportation- very expensive to use buses.
Transportation to out of district matches will be provided by parents.
Discussed minimum fundraising requirement- $ 350 per player
These funds pay for coaches, equipment, tournament entry fees, uniforms, players
banquet cost, etc…

Discussed the Serv-a-thon,( which will be held on Sept. 15th during practice). Girls will get sponsors and will serve 100 balls. They can either get a one time sponsor or sponsor per serve. This is a great way for the girls to actually do some of the fundraising.

Discussed the need to elect 3 directors, as determined by our bylaws.

Cary Davis made a motion to approve the preceding as directors. Alma Ruddell 2nded.
Motion Carried.

Discussed the need to name a new registered agent for Article of Inc.
Dave Marye made a motion to accept Jeanine Hench as the registered agent. Cary Davis
2nded. Motion carried.

Cary discussed all the volunteer positions for parents.

Lisa Willoughby introduced a new fundraising idea from Clean Sweep Car Wash.
Dining Club Book Sale discussed by Jeanine Hench as a fundraising opportunity. This
will start the first week of school. More info to follow..

Alma Ruddell discussed the football gate. Each slot worked will be worth $25 towards
your fundraising requirements. A sign up sheet was distributed.

Concession/ Gate/ Volunteer sign up discussed by Cary Davis. Each players family will
be responsible for working at least 5 slots.

Passes were discussed. These would be $28 for a single and $50 for a family pass. These are only good at home games and will need to be purchased before the first home game.
