New Head Coach - Shannon Alford

After interviewing several candidates, the Tates Creek High School athletic department has selected Shannon Alford as the head coach for the 2010 volleyball season.

Shannon played for Georgetown College prior to her first coaching position at Tates Creek High School in 2006. The following season, Shannon was returned to Georgetown College as an assistant coach.

Shannon will be bringing this college level coaching experience back to Tates Creek this coming 2010-2011 school year.

The Tates Creek Volleyball boosters and 2009 Volleyball team all wish outgoing Head Coach Megan Filburn the best as she starts her family.

Questions from parents prior to the next booster meeting should be directed to the Residing Booster Club President Robby Carter.

Patriots Sign Casey Sisk from Tates Creek

Friday, April 9 - St. Catharine College Volleyball Coach Adam Stevenson signed Casey Sisk for the class of 2010 from Tates Creek High School today. Casey signed a NAIA letters of intent to officially join the SCC volleyball program in a ceremony at the Tates Creek High School Library.

Casey played Middle Blocker for Tates Creek and TEVA Volleyball Club. She was honored to be named Most Improved Player in 2008 and 2009. She also recieved the Coaches Award this year. While in High school she was in the BETA Club and the International Baccalaureate Program.

“I think Casey will have great impact on the St. Catharine Volleyball program,” stated Coach Stevenson. “She is a quick middle who still has a lot of potential as she adapts to playing at the college level.”
