Motion to approve the minutes from the 8-3-06 meeting made by Jeanine Hench. Seconded by Mary Pat Owen.
Rob Hench discussed the TCVB Golf Scramble scheduled for September 23rd. Ideally 40 players are needed. Might need to have booster members donate prizes for this event instead of purchasing them. Discussed having a TC Sports Scramble next year to generate larger interest. Needs FIRM commitments by Friday, September 8th. Rob will send email with a sample letter to present to potential prize donors. Discussed plan for rain – possibly reschedule, but most likely will need to cancel and refund registration monies.
Liz Ruth, Treasurer, will send out commitment updates around the 15th of the month. Remember to use your Kroger cards to receive a 4% return to your account.
Jackie Eby- speaking for Lindi Campbell, told group about the possibility of not being able to re-hang the sponsor banners until after air conditioning is installed in gym. It was suggested the TCVB boosters take responsibility to hang these banners on the railings for the remaining home games.
Cindy Ethington had candy bars for those interested in selling. 40 bars per bag. Deadline for money returned is September 28th. ($40/bag, $20 goes to commitment)
Jeanine Hench- Dining Club books will sell for $20. ($10 goes into your account). Possibly ready by September 1st. Jeanine will offer Game Table Training at this weekend’s JV Tournament for those interested in learning to keep book, libero track, etc.
Lisa Willoughby- Clean Sweep orders due to Laura or Lisa by September 5th.
Ads for this week’s VB Program are due to John Bobel by Tuesday, September 5th by 10:00 AM. Total cost of ad goes toward commitment. Jacobson Park Parking on Friday, September 8th from 5-10 PM is available to TCVB Boosters. $40 per session. Contact John if interested.
Patty Howard and Cindy Ethington announced that the team banquet will be held at Lexington Green Hilton with more details forthcoming. It was suggested that we invite Dudley, the picture man, to our banquet and present him with a gift card of appreciation.
Barb Hurst announced that Middle School Night will be September 20th. She is working on a “goodie bag” for each player. This includes Southern, Tates Creek, Lexington Traditional, and possibly Morton Middle Schools. Discussed possibly sending invitations and/or thank you notes to these girls.
Cary pointed out that our game scores have not been reported to the Herald-Leader following our last two matches. She will contact the coaches regarding this. Reminder, if you attend Football games and the ticket gate looks busy, please offer to help out.
Pictures will be taken on August 31st.
